Freeriding in Pila
High-altitude powder on the Platta de Grevon
For powder hunters, Pila has a dedicated freeride area: the Platta de Grevon, at 2,700 metres. After a snowfall the run is left ungroomed, so you can ski off the beaten track on wide, panoramic slopes.
From Couis to Plan de l’Eyve
The route starts at the top of the Couis gondola and descends all the way to Plan de l’Eyve. It is a black-run descent: you’ll need an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe, solid experience and a check of the avalanche bulletin.
